On March 26, an SUV carrying a family of eight plunged over a cliff in Northern California, with all family members believed to have been killed in the incident. The bodies of the parents, Jennifer and Sarah Hart, were found at the scene, alongside those of three of their six children. At the time of writing, searches for the other three children are ongoing. Both boats and aircraft have been deployed to recover the bodies of the three remaining Hart children.
