Baylor University Settles First of Many Title IX Cases

The Waco Tribune Herald reported on July 7, 2017 that Baylor University reached its first settlement in a series of lawsuits contending the Texas school violated Title IX by allowing the school to become a “hunting ground for predators.” Baylor is a private university so the terms of the settlement are likely to remain confidential.

In 2016, Kristensen obtained a then record $1.15M settlement in a Title IX case. We are currently litigating other Title IX and sexual harassment/assualt cases against UC-Berkeley and Cabrillo College. What claims may be brought against a university or college for sexual assaults or sexual harassment depends on the specific facts of the case.
