Kristensen Weisberg, LLP has filed suit against Popchips, alleging that Popchips took discriminatory and retaliatory actions toward an employee. The Complaint and demand for jury trial were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court's Compton Courthouse on behalf of Kristensen Weisberg's client. Specifically, the Complaint alleges that, because the former employee asked for medical leave so that she may seek care for pregnancy-related health problems, the employee was terminated from employment at Popchips. Additionally, the complaint alleges that the employee's termination is based in retaliation for having made complaints regarding the contamination of food product with insects (yuck), which she believed to be a violation of various rules and regulations. Further alleged is Popchips' concealment of that same contamination. If you are an employee facing similar retaliation and discrimination, please contact Kristensen Weisberg, LLP to discuss.
